For Gustavo and Felipe, the mountains have never been just a destination—they’ve been home. From the time they were teenagers, they spent their days trekking through Los Nevados National Park, learning every trail, every peak, and every challenge these high-altitude landscapes have to offer. What started as a deep personal passion for the mountains soon became a lifelong mission: to share the beauty of the Andes with the world, while ensuring that every trek is done professionally, safely, and responsibly.
Driven by the belief that Colombia offers some of the most incredible, yet underrated trekking experiences in the world, Gustavo and Felipe founded Salento Hikers—not just to guide people up mountains, but to set a new standard for adventure tourism in the region. They’ve dedicated years to building strong local connections, working alongside farmers, guides, business owners, and international partners to create seamless, world-class trekking experiences in some of the country’s most remote and breathtaking locations.
